New Appointments Announced (Updated July 19, 2024)

Mrs. Jill Tamporello, McKinney-Vento Liaison
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to welcome Mrs. Jill Tamporello to the role of McKinney-Vento Liaison. In this role, she will assist homeless children and youth and their families to support educational, emotional, and financial needs. Mrs. Tamporello holds an M.Ed. in School Counseling from Nicholls State University (2009) and an Educational Leadership Level 1 Certificate (2021). Fifteen of her 20 years in service to St. Mary Parish Schools have been in the role of professional school guidance counselor at the middle school level.
Mrs. Tamporello is thrilled to use the skills she has gained through her many years of service as a professional school counselor in her new role. She states, "I look forward to supporting our children and families and providing the guidance and wrap-around services they need." Congratulations, Mrs. Jill Tamporello.

Ms. Ashley Clark, Secondary Supervisor and Parish Athletic Director
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to welcome Ms. Ashley Clark to the role of Secondary Instructional Supervisor and Parish Athletic Director. Ms. Clark holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2013). She began her career as a teacher/coach at West St. Mary High School (2001) and has dedicated 22 years to the Wolfpack family. She has been the Athletic Director (2014), Assistant Principal (2018), Interim Principal (2020) and Principal (2022). Under her leadership, West St. Mary High School became an "A" rated school with a score of 90.6 in 2023.
Ms. Clark is eager to bring her leadership and experience to the Secondary Supervisor position. She states, "I am comfortable navigating challenging situations to promote positive outcomes, and I am confident in my ability to build relationships that foster academic and athletic success." Congratulations, Ms. Clark!

Almetra Pierce-Stansbury, Coordinator of Secondary Special Services
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to welcome Ms. Almetra Pierce-Stansbury to the role of Coordinator of Secondary Special Services. Ms. Pierce-Stansbury holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2013). She began her career 25 years ago as a paraeducator at the St. Mary Parish Alternative Program in 1999. While serving in that role, she continued her education to become a certified Special Education Teacher. In that capacity, she worked at J.A. Hernandez and Lagrange Elementary until she was appointed Assistant Principal at Patterson Junior High School in 2020.
Ms. Pierce-Stansbury believes that her unique pathway to becoming an educator and the roles in which she has served throughout her career have given her the tools needed for this role. She states, "I know the supports paraeducators, educators, and administrators need to ensure our students are successful, as I have once sat in each of their seats." Congratulations, Ms. Almetra Pierce-Stansbury!

Mrs. Janet Francois, Dean of Students, Wyandotte Elementary School
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to announce the appointment of Mrs. Janet Francois as the Dean of Students at Wyandotte Elementary School. Mrs. Francois has been an educator for 22 years. She holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership (2019) from Nicholls State University and a Mentorship Endorsement (2022). Throughout her educational career, she has served as a teacher, librarian, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Coach and has sponsored various student leadership organizations.
Mrs. Francois expressed "that if students are in touch with their own emotions, they will not only improve their classroom behavior, but they will become more confident in their abilities to socialize and to learn." Congratulations, Mrs. Francois!

Ms. Monique Estay, Dean of Students, W.P. Foster Elementary School
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to announce the appointment of Ms. Monique Estay as the Dean of Students at W. P. Foster Elementary School. Ms. Estay holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership (2023) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She began her teaching career in 2000 and is certified in Health and Physical Education (K-12), Adapted Physical Education (K-12), and Mild/Moderate (1-12). Throughout her teaching and coaching career in education, she has served in many various leadership capacities. We would also like to thank her for her service as a member of the United States Air Force from 1988-1990.
Ms. Estay states she "believes in the importance of reminding students of the talents they possess as they work towards their educational goals. Discipline, to me, is the first step towards promoting successful learning environments." Congratulations, Ms. Estay!

Mrs. Kristin Percle, Chief Academic Officer
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to announce the appointment of Mrs. Kristin Percle as Chief Academic Officer. Mrs. Percle holds a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction (2012) and a M.Ed. +30 (2023). She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. Her research focuses on the relationship between teacher efficacy and student achievement. Mrs. Percle began her career teaching 6-8 ELA (2007) and then moved to the high school level to teach 9-12 ELA and Dual Enrollment. She was appointed the assistant principal at Berwick High School (2017) from where she transitioned to the principal role at Berwick Junior High School. In 2022, she was named the SMP Supervisor of Secondary Schools.
Mrs. Percle "looks forward to continuing her work with the administrators and school-building faculty and staff." She states, "I am eager to leverage my enthusiasm, organizational skills, and strategic mindset to advance the educational mission and vision of St. Mary Parish Public Schools." Congratulations, Mrs. Percle!

Mr. Krieg Triggs, Assistant Principal at Patterson High School
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to announce the appointment of Mr. Krieg Triggs as the Assistant Principal of Patterson High School. Mr. Triggs holds a master’s in educational leadership from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2023). He began his educational career in St. Mary Parish as a Health and Physical Education Teacher and currently serves as the Dean of Students at W. P. Foster Elementary School. He is also a certified personal trainer. Mr. Triggs is an advocate for physical and mental health and focuses on social emotional learning strategies in his approach with students.
As a 1998 graduate of Patterson High School, Mr. Triggs states that he “understands what it means to walk the halls of PHS as a student.” He looks forward to paying back what PHS gave to him and being a role model for the future of the Patterson community. Congratulations, Mr. Triggs!

Ms. Delonda Richardson, Assistant Principal at B. Edward Boudreaux Middle School
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to announce the appointment of Ms. Delonda Richardson as the Assistant Principal of B. Edward Boudreaux Middle School. Ms. Richardson holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership (2009) and a Masters of Arts in Teaching (2014). Ms. Richardson worked for 15 years as a teacher, program writer for at-risk students, a Master Teacher, and a Content Coach in Caddo Parish. For six years, she served as the Law Academy Director at Northside High School in Lafayette Parish and currently serves as an instructional coach in New Iberia.
Ms. Richardson states that she looks forward to working with Principal Rack to “to build relationships and assess instructional practices to provide educational support for the betterment of students and staff.” Her experience in the implementation of data analysis and providing professional development for student success is certain to be an asset to St. Mary Parish Public Schools. Congratulations, Ms. Richardson!

Ms. Amanda Chase, Principal of Wyandotte Elementary
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to announce the appointment of Ms. Amanda Chase as the Principal of Wyandotte Elementary School. Ms. Chase will be replacing Ms. Celeste Pipes who has resigned due to a move out-of-state. The St. Mary Parish Public School community thanks Ms. Pipes for her years of dedication to our schools.

Mrs. Gidget Everitt, At-Risk Interventionist
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to announce the appointment of Mrs. Gidget Everitt as the SMP At-Risk Interventionist. This role was recently vacated by Mrs. Sarah Theriot who accepted a position with the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP). Mrs. Everitt previously held this role for over 7 years before serving as a school administrator at Morgan City Junior High and Patterson High School. Mrs. Everitt earned both her Bachelor’s degree (2000) and Master’s degree (2012) at Nicholls State University. She just finished her 24th year serving St. Mary Parish Public Schools. Her training in Trust-Based Relational Interventions, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, and school safety will serve St. Mary Parish Public Schools well.
“Mrs. Everitt brings a wealth of educational experience and expertise to the At-Risk Interventionist role. We are fortunate to have her knowledge in such a vital position,” states Superintendent Buffy Fegenbush.

Ms. Elbone Delone, SMP Coordinator of Accountability
The St. Mary Parish School Board would like to announce the appointment of Ms. Elbone Delone as the Coordinator of Accountability. Ms. Delone will be replacing Ms. Robbie Gouaux, who is retiring this year. Ms. Delone holds a master’s in educational leadership from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2023). She began her educational career in St. Mary Parish at B. Edward Boudreaux Middle School teaching math in 2010. Under her care, her students rose to post the top scores in the district. In 2019, she transferred to Lafayette Parish and became the Math Master Teacher at Carencro High School. She transitioned into the data analyst position in the same school and has served in that role until this appointment. Her vast experience in coordinating assessments, data analysis, and mentoring will be an asset in her new role.
As a 1998 graduate of Franklin Senior High School, Ms. Delone stated that she is “excited about the opportunity to return home to contribute to St. Mary Parish’s mission for educational advancement for every student, every day.”
