Wyandotte Elementary Principal Named

After a round of interviews held on May 12, 2023, Mrs. Celeste Pipes has been officially named the Principal of Wyandotte Elementary School in Morgan City, Louisiana.  

Mrs. Pipes is currently the acting principal at Wyandotte Elementary School. Before her acting appointment, she served as the assistant principal of Hattie Watts Elementary for a year and a half. She began her career teaching for 18 years at the elementary level, having taught all grade levels and all subject levels at one time or another. According to Mrs. Pipes, “Elementary is in her heart.” 

Mrs. Pipes believes that school success relies on building trusting relationships, valuing teachers, treating students as her own children, and involving parents. She holds a Master's Degree in educational leadership from Nicholls State University. She has also earned an add-on certificate in English as a Second Language and is an English Learner Coach. Mrs. Pipes’ expertise, experience, and passion for elementary education will be invaluable in supporting the Wyandotte school community on its path to continued growth.
