School Board Policy JBCD dictates that students attend schools in the attendance zone in which they reside. In specific circumstances outlined by policy, the Office of Child Welfare may consider approval or disapproval of an application for student transfer. For example, Policy JBCD states that “[c]hildren of School Board employees may be allowed to attend the respective school in the district in which the employee works or the schools near to where they are working.”
For the 2020-2021 school year, Policy JBCD will be implemented using the transfer request forms below. These forms outline specific guidance for completion, submission, and any required documents needed for review and potential approval. Please pose any questions for clarification to the Office of Child Welfare and Attendance at (337) 836-9661.
