Louisiana education laws require districts to provide secure online environments where teachers and students can communicate to accomplish tasks such as discussing topics, sharing files, and/or completing assessments. 

• Students in the St. Mary Parish School District have access to several communication portals for classroom use. These include Microsoft 365 for student email, Microsoft Teams, and Clever classroom. 
• Without express written permission from a parent or adult guardian to a school principal, communication between teachers and students should only take place within these portals.  
• Access to these portals is a privilege afforded to the students of St. Mary Parish and can be revoked at any time. Login credentials for these portals will be provided to students by school staff members.
