Not Receiving JTexts? It's time to REACTIVATE your number!
Reactivate now to keep your family informed, prepared, and connected when it matters most.
It’s imperative parents and guardians reactivate J-TEXT messaging right away to receive accurate, real time information directly from the schools and district. J TEXT ensures parents get the right information at the right time straight from the source, especially for urgent updates like schedule changes, safety notices, or transportation adjustments.
How to Resubscribe to JTexts:
If you are no longer receiving JTexts from your child’s school and would like to resubscribe, please use the following steps below:
Step 1: Reactivate Text Messaging
Using the mobile phone you want to receive messages on, text:
START to (985) 509 9424
This activates your number for school notifications with your carrier.
Step 2: Contact Your Child’s School
After texting START, please contact your child’s school office and provide:
- Your name
- Your student’s name
- The phone number you used to text START
Step 3: Allow time for processing
Please allow some time for processing. Soon, you will begin receiving school messages again.

Student Progress Center

The Student Progress Center (formerly known at the Parent Command Center) allows parents and guardians to access information about a student's academic performance and attendance in assigned classes. A link to the Student Progress Center can be found on the homepage of each school's website and on the district website.
Information about registration to the system can be obtained from any school's administrative office or by using the Help link on the Student Progress Center's login page. The Help link includes instructions on linking all children in a family together so information can be access with one username and password.

At this time, there is no process for recovering a username and password if they have been forgotten or misplaced. If you have forgotten your Student Progress Center credentials, EDgear recommends using the Register New User link to create another account.
