FAQs for TRES

Unlike other systems, TRES does not update automatically when an employee changes schools or teaching assignments.  Each year, employees who use TRES should login and edit the Identity box on their Dashboard if changes should been made.

To edit your personal information in TRES, click the yellow pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the Identity box. This action will allow employees to edit the School and Grade Level fields, as well as the Work Phone number. Also, you should update the E-Mail Address field if needed.

Note: If an employee has not added an Employee ID number, there is a strong possibility that he or she will not be paid for TRES events since this number will appear on sign-in sheets that will be submitted for payment.

- CLUs earned prior to February 2011 are not part of the current TRES database.  All users of the old system. which was supplied by the Louisiana Department of Education prior to February 2011, were asked to secure their data before the servier was decommissioned in August 2011.
- Documentation for these events must be verified through the use of attendance certificates issued by the course instructor.  The St. Mary Parish School Board does not have access to this information.

Your TRES account, like most systems in our district, is directly tied to your district credentials.  Here are some troubleshooting techniques:

Step 1: Your username (not your email address) is used to access TRES.

Step 2:  You should not change the default login setting of "Student." In TRES, you are considered a student unless you are the instructor of a course offered through TRES and have administrative access.

Step 3: Update your District password.

--For certificated personnel: You can reset your password using Office 365 if you have established multi-factor authentication. If not, you must reset it on a district computer (see directions below).

--For paraprofessionals or substitutes: You must reset your password after logging into a district computer with your old password. Use CTRL + ALT + DELETE and select “Change a password.” This method will also work for certificated personnel.

If you have taken each of these steps and still cannot gain access to TRES, contact aransonet@stmaryk12.net or lhepler@stmaryk12.net.
