Interact is a service club that collects no fees but helps out our community as needed. We have been heavily involved with our local senior citizens but due to covid, we have paused those activities. We have ideas for working with elementary aged students and are awaiting approval on this on-going project.
INTERACT is a service-based group connected to Rotary. As a club, we host monthly meetings with area senior citizens* (these events are open to the public) and they usually center around things we have in common—hobbies, games, learning about technology, etc. We have an ongoing project monthly (first Monday of each month in Morgan City) with St Mary Parish AARP*.
We also continue to participate in the annual New Generation event which features students presenting ideas to improve their local community to area leaders and other concerned citizens.
