Hello,

I'm Michael Swiber, a graduate of MCHS, Class of 1999. I am also a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette class of 2004.  I have spent the entirety of my teaching career at Morgan City High School and will be at MCHS until I reach my retirement.  I teach all facets of the band program at MCHS as well as beginning band at JB Maitland Elementary.

During the course of my career I have been asked to judge various concert and marching festivals in Louisiana.  I have also participated as the guest clinician in various honor bands throughout the state.  In 2017 I was voted as the District VII Band Directors Association Band Director of the Year.  I was also voted in as the 21-22 Morgan City High School Teacher of the Year.  I am a member of the Louisiana Bandmasters Association, the Louisiana Music Educators Association, and the District VII Band Directors Association.
