She attended Nicholls State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in general studies, as well as a masters in Curriculum and Instruction for Secondary Education, also from Nicholls. She then obtained certification in Educational Leadership.
Mrs. Percle began her teaching career at Berwick Junior High School, spending 6 years as an English teacher and cheer sponsor. She then moved to Berwick High School, teaching English I, English III, and English 101 dual enrollment through Nicholls State University for four years. She served as English Teacher Leader, cheerleading sponsor, and Top Cat sponsor during her time there. She was then appointed to the position of assistant principal to Berwick High School for the 2017-2018 school year and served in that position for two years.
When asked what she finds most rewarding in education, she stated, “Knowing that what I do each day and the relationships that I build directly impact the school and community we live in truly makes each day a rewarding one. Every day is a new adventure or new challenge –
rising up and seeing each and every challenge and adventure through has to be the best ride I have ever been on. It’s not always the most fun, but it certainly is the most rewarding!
Mrs. Percle is more than thrilled to be coming back to where her career began back in 2007. She stated, "Berwick has always been home to me, and I’m so very fortunate to continue to serve the Berwick community in the capacity of Principal at Berwick Junior High."
