Transportation: We're Rollin'

The St. Mary Parish School Board maintains one of the safest bus fleets in the state. We operate approximately 63 buses, transporting thousands of students safely to and from school each day. There are around 51 Bus Operators and 10 Bus Attendants who work closely with our students, families and the public every day. We travel roughly 1 million miles providing a safe, reliable, and efficient bus service that meets the needs of students and their families. These routes include general education, special education, after-school programs, midday classes, field trips and athletics. The Transportation Department works rigorously daily to keep our bus fleet moving safely and lawfully throughout the year.

It is the goal of the Transportation Department to ensure all students have a safe and positive bus experience to help foster their learning. For this to happen we need everyone to: Be respectful, Use appropriate behavior, Stay safe.
