Gifted and Talented

The St. Mary Parish Talented Program provides enrichment for students to further their artistic abilities in three different areas: Theatre, Visual Arts, and Music. Students may qualify for one or more of the areas, and will receive instruction, which will enhance their educational program through concentrated exposure to the arts.

Is your child highly creative, has a vibrant imagination, volunteers to participate in classroom plays or skits, plays an instrument, seeks opportunities to hear & create music, or has an exceptional ability in visual art?

Now is the time to ask about the evaluation process for the 2024-2025 academic year. Stop by your child’s school office to pick up a brochure or print the Talented Brochure below. Return it to your child’s school office by November 8, 2024.

The Gifted Enrichment Program is an educational program for students identified as gifted in grades K-12 enrolled in St. Mary Parish schools. Students demonstrating high academic and intellectual aptitude may be eligible for differentiated enrichment instruction. Enrichment pull-out classes provide a high degree of complexity and extend beyond the prescribed curriculum in regular classrooms.
