4 Easy Steps to Apply Online

Welcome to St. Mary Parish Public Schools' Substitute Teacher Application Process! We are excited that you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher. To get started, please complete the three required parts of the process:

  1. Complete an online application.
  2. Watch the substitute teacher training video.
  3. Pass the quiz.
  4. Complete the Mandated Reporter Training and submit your certificate to Mrs. Tori Prados via email.

Once all requirements have been completed, you will be eligible to move forward in the substitute teacher application process. If you need assistance at any time, please contact Tori Prados at (337) 836-9661.

Step 4 - Mandated Reporter Training

All substitutes are required to complete the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Mandated Reporter Training annually.

Training Instructions

  1. Visit the LCWTA Moodle website to access the training:

  2. Log in or create an account if you do not already have one.
  3. Complete the DCFS Mandated Reporter Training.
  4. Upon completion, download or save your completion certificate.
  5. Email a copy of your completion certificate to Mrs. Tori Prados (email).
