St. Mary Parish Curriculum and Instruction
Committed to Student Success
At St. Mary Parish Public Schools, our mission is simple yet powerful: to prepare every student for lifelong success. Through innovative curriculum, dynamic teaching, and continuous professional growth for our educators, we create classrooms where learning comes alive. Our Curriculum & Instruction Department partners with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, meaningful experiences, and real-world opportunities that empower students to excel.
From the first day of school to graduation, we are committed to equipping every learner with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in college, career, and life!
Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)At St. Mary Parish Schools, we believe student success grows stronger when parents, families, and the community are actively engaged in education. Families support learning by attending school events, participating in conferences, and encouraging positive study habits at home. Simple actions—like setting aside time and space for homework, reading together, and offering encouragement—make a lasting impact on student achievement.
Beyond the home, parents and guardians play an important role as partners and advocates for our schools. They may volunteer in classrooms, assist with activities, or contribute to school leadership and decision-making. By working together, schools and families create a supportive environment where every child can thrive. After all, parents are a child’s first and most important teacher.
