Assessments in St. Mary Parish Schools
The St. Mary Parish School System implements a comprehensive assessment program for all students participating in the general curriculum. This includes district common assessments as well as beginning-, middle-, and end-of-year screenings and testing that measure student progress over time. Assessment content and standards is fully aligned to the Louisiana Department of Education and taught in St. Mary Parish curriculums.
Results from these assessments are tracked and analyzed to monitor progress toward student learning targets, guide instruction, and inform both district and school improvement plans. This data is used to inform and evaluate goals for student learning targets as well as the St. Mary Parish School System’s Strategic Plan and other district and school level improvement plans.
