What educational opportunities are available in St. Mary Parish?
Posted by:St. Mary Parish educates approximately 8,500 students in grades PK-12. The parish consists of 10 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 5 high schools, 1 PK-12 school, and 1 alternative program site. All St. Mary Parish schools are accredited by the State of Louisiana. What do I need to enroll my child in school?
Posted by:Bring the child’s birth certificate, current immunization records, Social Security card, and proof of residence to the school. If your child is transferring from another school, you will also need to bring a copy of the student’s transcript from the former school. (Reviewed 07/20/2021)

Does the district offer classes for Pre-K and Kindergarten?
Posted by:Pre-K and Kindergarten registration is held every spring. Students who are age 4 by September 30 are eligible for Pre-K for screening and enrollment while children who are age 5 by September 30th may enroll in kindergarten. Is bus transportation available?
Posted by:Busing is provided if a student lives more than a mile from school. If your child misses the bus in the morning, please call to inform the school and then transport your child to school. What is the procedure during severe weather conditions?
Posted by:District officials provide local media stations with information in the event of school closures. Should severe weather prompt school closure during the school day, buses may take children home early. In the event of a weather-related early dismissal, attempts will be made to call or text parents of elementary school children. Posted by:Students Entering 2006 -2007 and BEYOND
9th Grade (Freshmen) – 0-5.5 credits and 0-2 sessions
10th Grade (Sophomores) – 6-11.5 credits and 3-4 sessions
11th Grade (Juniors) – 12-17.5 credits and 5-6 sessions
12th Grade (Seniors) – 18 or more credits and 7+ sessions
