Title II

  • Title II, Part A of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001 combines the former Eisenhower Professional Development State Grants and Class Size Reduction programs into one program that focuses on preparing, training, and recruiting of high quality teachers.  The Title II allocation will provide for professional development activities that improve the knowledge of our educators including principals, allow for the hiring of highly qualified teachers to reduce class size, award scholarships to teaching interns in high need content areas, and offer signing bonuses and differential pay to teach in schools where there is a shortage of highly qualified teachers.
