Asbestos Hazard
-
St. Mary Parish is in compliance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1987. As part of the rule, all parties with interest of the school district are to be notified of the steps taken to eliminate any asbestos-containing material which may be harmful to the school's occupants.
In the interest of future safety and in compliance with Environmental Protection Agency and State Department of Health regulations, the St. Mary Parish School System will be monitoring all assumed asbestos-containing building materials every six (6) months to verify that they have not become friable or damaged.
Copies of the Management Plans for all buildings are available for viewing in the office of the Principal.
