The St. Mary Parish Alternative Program provides an educational setting for students whose discipline problems prevent themselves or others from learning.
Assignment to the St. Mary Parish Alternative Program, located in Verdunville, can be made only by the Supervisor of Child Welfare.
The St. Mary Parish Alternative Program provides instruction in mathematics, science, social studies, Language Arts and reading. High school students pursuing a high school diploma continue to work on earning Carnegie Unit credit by participating in a computer assisted instruction program and passing state approved end of course tests.
Parish-wide transportation is provided.
