Consider structuring this 90 minute block into subject areas such as:
30 min Language Arts - 30 min Math - 30 Minutes Science or Social Studies
The following website resources offer paced lessons specific to grade level. Some have kids login to keep track of progress. You can set a timer for 30 minutes in each area. If kids are enjoying it, just let them keep going and make a note to spend more time on other subjects in the coming days.
For example, on Monday I might suggest spending 30 minutes with Scholastic’s daily lesson, 30 minutes playing a math facts game, and 30 minutes on Khan Academy.
Scholastic: Scholastic has organized grade-specific lessons into rich learning experiences to use every day. Follow the link to access learning experiences daily.
Khan Academy: For kids ages 8-18, view a full grade-level specific schedule here. Or follow the main link and create an account for your child by clicking “Learner.”
Educational Websites by Grade Level: For kids ages 4-12, use this site to find a diverse set of websites organized by grade level.
Starfall: For kids ages 4-8, select your child’s grade level to open up games and interactive lessons.
Todo Math: For children ages 4-8, use this app to take a guided journey through math skills.
Math Facts Practice: Use this list of games to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division facts.
Storyline Online: Each Book is read aloud to your child and followed by suggested lessons.
Readers Theater: Use this link or search for scripts for your child to practice reading and performing. Have your child rehearse and perform the script multiple times to increase fluency. Assign parts to members of the family.
